In my imagination an inner vision becomes reality through my hands and tools. My "heart" is the catalyst that transforms inspiration to manifestation. I find inspiration everywhere. In my childhood, my family, the world that surrounds me of which I am a part. |

I love all forms of art. At age six, I dreamed of being a painter. My mom understood and put me in art classes. My dad, an architect, would have us observe the proportions in everything, from a face to a table and its chair, and to always look for harmony in objects as much as in life itself. I began to create jewelry out of a deep need to express myself three dimensionally, and jewelry seemed more personal. I made my first pieces for my wedding in 1990, since I had found nothing that felt "like me". These were made out of resin which I learned on my own by reading little instruction manuals. I would add aluminum, copper or brass powders to achieve different effects, together with pearls, glass or ceramic beads. A year later I had a piece in the French fashion magazine "Madame Figaro". Having had positive feeback, I decided to continue with resin while learning to work with metal. I read everything I could and practiced as much as possible. As of 1994, all my work became entirely focused on metal-work, silver in particular. I work with Sterling Silver which I cut, form and solder and add highlights of gold or stones. At one point I discovered metal clay, fine silver in maleable form, and have worked with this wonderfully revolutionnary material since 2003. I sculpt and form it with my hands and tools. I like the new dimension it opens to metal. Working from a soft, clay-like base to solid metal, applying a variety of techniques to achieve the most interesting results, adding another tool to my palette of expression. I enjoy the use of more traditional combinations of silver with gold together with fine stones. I also like to surprise precious metals with more unexpected found objects such as pieces of sea slate from the beaches of Bretagne or even a piece of tree bark. In order to transmit my passion and to allow others to discover their own creative potentials, I also teach metal clay workshops of various different levels here in France.
